Summer Camp
The Whitefield Center teams up with Urban Hope, another faith-based initiative in the Thomas Square neighborhood, to offer a fun-filled and educational Summer Camp program for elementary school-aged children. The premises of the Whitefield Center offer perhaps the largest single “green-space” in all the Thomas Square neighborhood . . . perfect for outdoor activities, vegetable gardening instruction, and other horticultural endeavors.
Indoors, fine art instruction is offered to day-campers by Master artists who volunteer their time and expertise. Other day camp activities take place at Urban Hope headquarters on Barnard Street, just a few blocks away. Transportation between sites is provided.
Precise dates for Summer Camp 2017 have not yet been determined, but stay tuned to this space for updated information or contact urbanhopesavannah.org or the Whitefield Center directly: sdantin@earthlink.net or call 912-644-6450.
